January:
Phoenix Enterprise seeks investors (Phoenix Seeking Investors) to help fund the largest corporate development project in known history, the development of a private space colony. The colony, to be named Phoenix City, begins conceptual development during this month. Investors in the project are Jonathan Salizar, Dalmont, Erik and Michel.
A Cardassian freighter was attacked near Charlotte X. The Dominion attack ship broke off the attack when the freighter entered the Celestial Temple.
Kainon Station, operated by the Bajoran government, completes a redesign and opens as a gateway to the Gamma Quadrant.
Silver Lining Pawn Brokers and Phoenix Enterprise (Phoenix Merchant Insurance) each announce that they will sell insurance to merchants for replacement of lost freighters. Silver Lining Pawn Brokers will ensure Q-Ships as well as freighters.
The FCA has formally declared an Open Skies Initiative. With this initiative we have instituted a five tier level of agreement regarding trade. Existing contracts with our friends across the BQ and AQ have been classified internally as Level 1 thru Level 5 agreements.
In a rare public appearance, Interim First Minister Malia S'arth made a formal announcement promoting Lt. Colonel Penet Axla to the rank of full Colonel and placing him as the commander of the entire Bajoran Defense Force. Recent changes in the leadership of the so-called 'Alliance of Convenience' has resulted in Colonel Penet Axla being named the new Director of Stellar Operations at Gamora.
The fugitive Ro Antos, former commanding officer of the station, was reportedly killed by Aidoann Sturmvogel in a dramatic scene where Ms. Sturmvogel herself was injured while trying to detain the fugitive. With his death, Itasha Pand has been promoted to the rank of Lt. Colonel and is now the new commanding officer of DS9.
Farmers in the southern areas of B'Laya Province are reporting a shortage of spare parts for their heavy equipment. They blame the relocation of Bajoran freighters to the Gamoran front for the lack of supplies. Analysts predict that crop yields will be 30 percent below the ten-year average.
Phoenix Enterprise announced that they are asking their affiliated merchants to assist the Bajoran people with delivery of farm supplies to the B'Laya region. Phoenix also offers allocates one million bars of latinum to assist the Bajoran people buy necessary supplies while their economy suffers due to the allocation of the Bajoran freighters to the Gamoran front.
Mid August: Phoenix Enterprise announces the development of the Phoenix News Service (PNN) which becomes the second independently operated news network. The PNN is under the leadership of Director Dalmont who became a partner in Phoenix Enterprise. Jonathan Salizar is the current President and Chief Executive Officer for the organization.
August: The Orion Pirate threat begins to grow in the region which eventually causes new military alliances to form.
November: A task force of Cardassian, Romulan, Klingon, Bajoran and Ferengi ships assault the Orion world of Gamora.
November: A joint operation comprised of KE/BFN/CU/UQS officers with disgruntled FTGTC employee's cooperation successfully capture FSY Sanctuary. The Union later solidifies its claim of ownership of FSY Sanctuary and the mobile outpost is renamed Kelvas Facility.
Mid September: The Borg are spotted in Federation space scouting base locations and planets. Soon more Borg sightings through the Alpha and Beta quadrents appear. Two transwarp conduits are detected between Federation and Pryan space.
Early August: Freebird City, a massive Space Colony-class space station, opens in orbit of Qvarne. Freebird Enterprises touts the project as the dawning of a new era in colonial self-sufficiency and economic growth throughout the Home Quadrants.
Late July: The Zitto/Blondel Campaign wins in UFP Presidential Elections by a landslide margin of 76.9 to 23.1 percent of the popular vote. President Zitto is sworn in to office on Stardate 81015.21. Martial Law is declared in the Cardassian Union as the Madrasad lead by Idrig Jagul Kimter takes over.
Mid July: Federation President Jonathan Salizar drops Vice President Luke Zitto from his re-Election campaign. The Attorney General, Michael Blondel, is removed from his role of Attorney General due to conflict with the Cardassian Union. Luke Zitto forms his own ticket for the Presidency. He selects Captain Michael Blondel as his running mate. President Jonathan Salizar selects Commander Karina McGuinness to replace the vacated ballot space.
June 4th: The entire government of the Unified Qvarne Sector is announced as having been privatized by Freebird Enterprises, a megacorporation chaired by Vena Del. The Qvarni infrastructure is completely revamped as every ministry and the military becomes a subsidiary corporation.
Mid April: Nine of the Bajoran Orbs go dark, leaving only the Orb of the Emissary still functional but unable to be consulted. As a result, Bajoran citizens protest the presence of non-Bajorans in their space; especially non-Bajorans who own property or live in Bajoran space. The Bajoran Free Nation posts a statement of neutrality, which leads to a misunderstanding between the BFN and the UFP when the Breen Confederacy and Klingon Empire send ships to assist in patrols of Bajoran space. A misunderstanding between the GFA and the Bajoran Free Nation (started a month previously) degenerates to the point that the GFA no longer recognizes the BFN as a valid nation. Repeated attempts at negotiation, on the part of the GFA fail. The leadership of the Bajoran government refused to communicate and negotiate with representatives of the GFA.
In the Bajoran system, on Bajor, Jeraddo and Deep Space 9, primarily, posters sprang up demanding the return to traditional Bajoran values and the expulsion of all aliens, from a group calling itself "For a Clean Life and a Pure Bajor." This group also later claimed responsibility for the bombing of the Romulan-owned Radaik Estate in Paqu province, Bajor, which killed several Bajorans and Romulans and wounded many more.
Early April: Tensions between the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire continue to escalate when negotiations break down over the disputed territory near QI'tomer. Qvarne Foreign Minister Sam Bungar's "Bungar Accords," while supported by both the UQS and and Klingons, are rejected by President Jonathan Salizar and the Klingon Empire on the eve of the treaty signing. Upon the refusal of the Klingons to come down from their request of a path to joint governance of the region, and walking away from negotiations, Jonathan Salizar implements an economic embargo on the Klingon Empire.
March: New Federation Government reforms end the parliamentary system implemented in early 2006 and reinstate the presidential system. Chief Councilor Jonathan Salizar is elected President and Starfleet Judge Advocate General Luke Zitto is elected Vice President, defeating the ticket of Lieutenant Kandice Justice and Captain Marta Morgan.
February: The mysterious Drogh are encountered by various governments, as they wander about the Alpha and Beta Quadrants in search of food and fuel in their mining ships. The UQS constructs a new mining ship hull for the Drogh to mine resources. They tell of being thrown into known space by "The Dark Claw". A slow-moving Drogh colony is discovered hiding in a nebula, as a wormhole terminus is found moving across the galaxy in ever-increasing jumps. The United Federation of Planets is the first government to gain acess to the Drogh Colony ship through the negotiation of Chief Councilor Jonathan Salizar. Romulans, Pryans, and others make contact, and even transit the wormhole to the Drogh homeworld, where Poseidon of the Pryans sparks a hostile reception by shooting and killing an elderly Drogh on the dying planet. A literal and metaphorical race to get the Drogh to abandon their claim on This Planet and return to their own space begins. Eventually, the Drogh Return to Homeworld.
The USS Valiance is destroyed by a Hirogen fleet, comprised of four hunter class vessels and one terminator class.
Winter: Federation Council elects Jonathan Salizar to position of Chief Councilor.
December: USS Valiance is disabled by forces unknown and abandoned around Krussel IX. The ship is later returned to the Federation by Ritual Dance in return for Starfleet ceasing all scouting actions around Krussel.
Fall: Federation Council elects Castor Pirious to position of Chief Councilor.
End of June: Federation Council elections held for seats of retiring Junior Councillors Sam Bungar and Robert Bungar. Doctor Sera Lugar and Lt. Jack O'Rielly defeat Captain Michael Blondel and Crewman Fyodor Federov for these seats.
May 3 (Stardate 79777.924783): A Borg cube with designation 96/894 was detected by FSY Sanctuary, downloaded all information from the stations computer core, and was followed by Cardassian, Romulan, Klingon, and Federation ships until it disappeared using a transwarp conduit near star SL9121snc.
April 24 (Stardate 79752.699385): T'Lara Kavanagh, President of the Senate resigned as President of the Senate within the Unified Quarne Sector Government. Following the Protocols of Congress, wherein the Senator from Autarkhos Region shall be interim president. The government instated Grimkresh Delukanasi as President of the Senate for this period between elections
April: Federation space regulations were amended to allow Light D'Kora class vessels into their space without case-by-case permission, considered as freighters. They will be treated as freighters, and are expected to follow the same regulations as all freighters. More heavily armed variants of the D'Kora class are still considered warships, and continue to be bound to Federation space regulations concerning such vessels
April: Henry Rae elected Federation Chief Councilor.
March: Federation President position eliminated in government reform. Federation Council elections held. Henry Rae, Hypatia Lea, Marta Morgan, Robert Bungar, and Sam Bungar elected to Council.
March 16 (Stardate 79644.616483): Romulan, Qvarni, Cardassian, Ferengi and Pryan ships recapture the planet Thieurrull from the Gorn.
March 4 (Stardate 79613.381788): A Galae vessel engages a D'deridex class warbird of the Tal'Shiar. After engaging the D'deridex, the underclassed Galae vessel is disabled resulting in the capture of the Galae crew. The crew is tracked down and released by Qvarni forces led by Lyret t'Khellian. It is rumored that a Cardassian vessel was nearby, but from most accounts it appears it was operating in an observational capacity only.
February 27th - March 6th (Aproximate Stardate 79613.381788): Khren t'Nai declares herself Third Empress of the Romulan Star Empire. The Marion Cluster declares independence from the main body of the Empire. Not long thereafter, Tal'Shiar forces loyal to t'Nai occupy ch'Rihan and ch'Havran and the orbiting base, IRS Ihlarei. Khren t'Nai attempts to use a thalaron weapon, but it backfires, killing herself and all aboard IRS Ihlarei, including most of the Tal'Shiar upper echelons loyal to her.
Somewhere in here: Romulan planet of ch'Nahir razed by then-unknown forces, later discovered to be Tal'Shiar under direction of Khren Khau'laehval t'Nai.
February 28 (Stardate 79602.883556): Legate Vornan Jikall of the Cardassian Union steps down for health reasons. Central Command is reorganized to a council of both military and civilian leaders.
Winter: Civil war in the Klingon Empire.
December: Maera Tainer-Delukanasi officially crowned Imperatrix Mundi of Qvarne.
October After a prolonged period without an official leader, Seviek i-Aihai tr'Aieme is elected hru'Deihu of the Romulan Star Empire
Summer: Hostilities break out between the Romulan Star Empire and the Cardassian Union when a Romulan spy station is discovered on the Cardassian border.
July: Federation President T'Sha defeated in bid for re-election by Former President Sam Bungar. Starfleet Commander James McAlister elected Vice President. Analysts point to unpopularity of Chemarra attack as reason for T'Sha's defeat in close election.
May: Federation and Unity attack Chemarra, over allegations of eugenics research.
Spring: Imperatrix Mundi Lusankya of Qvarne dies of natural causes and is revealed to have been Caevra t'Khellian, second Empress of the Romulans, titled "Mother of us all."
Spring: GTI Remenent Forces occupy Viltvodle. War ensues.
February: Starfleet Doctor T'Sha wins election for Federation Presidency. Admiral Matthew Lugar elected Vice President. Some voters believed that Sam Bungar was too soft on foreign policy.
January: (Stardate: 78483.053119) The Cardassian Union - in an effort to difuse a possibly dangerous situation in regards to the Aurellans and stargate technology - launched an assault against the Federation planet of Organia. Disguising a heavy tug as a freigher the Cardassians entered orbit of the planet under the announcement of trade, once in range they locked tractor beams upon the Federation stargate, USB Jadma'kaa, towed it a few parsecs from the planet and destroyed it. In an effort to stop them the USS Saratoga (Galaxy Class), A Zhrakadi vessel, and the USS Reliant (Defiant class) attacked the Cardassians - they failed. The Saratoga was disabled but was allowed to be towed back to base before the Cardassians returned home, victory in hand.
November 12: The Qvarne Civil War begins after Vena Del appears in the Council of Premiers Chamber in Autarch City with a Breen CRM-114 and kills four of the six other Regional Governors beside herself.
November: The QSB Erubescent Eclipse fires on Qvarne IV, destroying the city of Markstowne in Autarkhos Region.
October: Ryan Williams resigns Federation presidency. Vice President Sam Bungar sworn in as President.
September: Dominion invades the Alpha and Beta quadrants by taking control of Zhrakhadi stargates. Takes control of the stargate Jaikna'kaa near QI'tomer, as well as the stargate Gamma'kaa in Gamma Quadrant. Seizes Bajor and Deep Space Nine from Federation control.
August: Federation Presidential elections. Former Fleet Admiral Ryan Williams elected President. FDS Delegate Sam Bungar elected Vice President.
August: General John Cantor returns from the dead miraculously after having been enslaved by Zhrakhadi for five years.
March: A freighter with no known registry called Farflung appears in space, and makes contact with several races, introducing the Ursans. The Ursans purchase courier class vessels from the Orions, and begin visiting other races in the alpha and beta quadrants. The UFP receives them and offers them a cruise aboard the USS Goddard. The Ursans overcome the crew and take the Goddard for use on some mission of their own. Several factions visit Urss, the Ursan homeworld, and attempt to puzzle out the reasons for their behavior. Eventually the Klingons learn the identity of the Voice which has been speaking to Highest Ear Hurr in the Ursan temple which dominates the Province of the Voice, and much of their own history is revealed to the Ursans, including the break in the chain of knowledge from one generation to the next that allowed their current situation. Freed from the domination of the Voice, the Ursans extend their technology and sphere of influence, taking over abandoned Dominion assets, and building their own fleet.
March 12: Chairman Vathras and Co-Chairman Rex Strang, with a council of representatives from the Klingon Empire, Galactic Ferengal Alliance, Unity, Pryan Coalition, United Federation of Planets, Orion Alliance, and Romulan Star Empire found the Free Trader's Galactic Trade Conglomerate and ratify its charter.
February: Nicholas McLarty resigns Federation presidency. Vice President Elijah Snow assumes duties of interim Federation President. Special election at the end of the month results in the election of Ambassador General Revian Danielson to the presidency.
July: Starfleet Fleet Admiral Nicholas McLarty elected President of the United Federation of Planets.
June: The Qvarne Corporate Government begins to break down its formerly held isolationist stance and sends forth a new representative to act on its behalf: Vena Del, thought to have been killed in the Neresian Civil War.
Spring: With the Shiar Deihuit decimated and Praetorate in shambles, Shiar'Fvillha Caevra t'Khellian is declared Second and Last Empress of the Shiar by the last remaining senators.
Spring: Shortly after the Tyrixx have been removed, the weakened Eisn is occupied by the Galactic Terran Imperium. After releasing an airborne agent that effects only the pregnant, hundreds of thousands if not millions of Rihannsu are killed.
Winter/Spring 2002: Tyrixx infiltrate ch'Rihan, tunnelling under the s'Khellian estate in Mhiessan. Pro-Tyrixx messages corrupt the Shiar newsfeeds. Responding to the actions of the Galae, the Tyrixx of the Ixx Brood, led by Brood Queen Tessaract, successfully invade and capture the Hearthworlds. They are eventually defeated by a joint military operation.
January-February: Vena Del is succeeded by her vice-president, Joba Midlin, after choosing not to run for a second term as Federation President.
October 15th: A combined fleet of Starfleet, Klingon, Orion, Pryan, and Independant vessels engaged an Assimilator IV-Class Borg Cube in a tremendous battle in orbit of Earth. Fleet losses were significant, however the Borg Cube was completely destroyed.
Summer: All the antimatter in the known galaxy disappears, leaving ships stranded in space. The cause is determined to be the opening of a rift to an alternate universe near Hallee, a universe devastated by an Aurellan-Q war. The Pryan Coalition commissions a supercruiser III class ship named PNV Freedom's Forge and mounts a secret mission to aid the Alternate Universe inhabitants. The Halleean station Genesis is towed to and through the rift as a base of operations, and the Genesis Echo Project establishes its new database, naming Klingon expatriate Hovemempo'wI' (Starcharter) as Director. The mission becomes public knowledge. The Tyrixx Kae is part of the team. During the mission in the AU, the station Genesis is visited by the mysterious Longwalker, who advises S'hai, Kae, Starcharter, and Trelesta Rowan. Exploration of the AU results in first contact with a race now known as the Gardeners, first called the Tridic-Borg. The Tridic are a race of living supercomputers in roughly humanoid shape. After the Borg attempted to assimilate some of the Tridic, it seems a new, independent and terrifying subspecies of the Borg was born. First contact is also made with the Lakshu, thought to mirror the race which was the progenitors of the Aurellans. The Klingons visit a parallel Qo'noS about 500 years before current day. The Romulans find the original colony ships from Vulcan on their way to a Borg-devastated parallel to ch'Rihan and ch'Havran. The Ferengi and others begin sending relief missions to the nearly destroyed AU planets. Starcharter faces off against his adopted brother and former commander Konmel at Genesis Station, in an argument over asylum for a young girl wanted by the Klingon Empire.
August 19th: Starfleet Armed Forces suffers a tragic loss as Lieutenant General Johnathan Cantor is killed during a training exercise over Taurus II. General Cantor, a highly-decorated 30-year Starfleet veteran, most recently served as SFAF Chief of Strategic Operations.
August: At her inaugural ball, Vena Del is abducted by the entity known as Longwalker to the Alternate Universe where she witnesses first hand the devastation of earth. Upon her return, President Del orders Starfleet to begin assisting those affected by the Aurellan-Q war.
July-August: Vena Del, former Attorney General of the Federation, is elected President of the United Federation of Planets with more than fifty percent of the vote. She succeeded Oscillator Williams, the longest termed president of the Federation. Her vice-president is Joba Midlin.
December: The Klingon planet Boreth is invaded and taken by a previously unknown race called the Tyrixx. Many Klingons are killed resisting, but others are taken captive, placed into cocoons, and their stomachs are scraped for DNA by the aliens. The Tyrixx are formidable foes, whose technology is completely organic and biological. Their communication is telepathic, pheremonal, and inscrutable. They are able to use their bodies to form knife-like and whip-like appendages in combat, and to camouflage themselves into the terrain. Their most potent attacks are psionic, rendering warriors unconscious from a distance. The Klingons declare war on Brood Queen Lesion and her Liir Brood. The Tyrixx War begins, and spreads across known space. Taurus II, a Federation world, is also invaded and captured by the Tyrixx, and the initial retalitory strike force of Starfleet and KDF Personnel are repelled and captured. Several Tyrixx are taken in battle, and an analysis of their motives and methods begins. Kae is taken by the Klingons to Aardra of the Silver Fleet for research, where Kae is forced to learn speech. Dalani is captured on Luna Kaigun and held by the Pryan Coalition. Aleta is captured by the Ferengi and held by the GFA. Tyrixx Morph ships with no shields engage in combat across the alpha and beta quadrants. A race begins to capture Tyrixx phase creatures, used to move between known space and the place from which the Tyrixx Hive launched its invasion.
November 24: Klingons find the Cardassian Occupation Vessel COF Thared adrift in space, and return the contents, Bajoran religious relics, to Bajor, including the Orb of Contemplation.
July 12: A ceasefire is signed between the Cardassian Union and the United Federation of Planets.
July 11: A Klingon Vor'cha cruiser is found to be in violation of Cardassian space. The CSV Banhar is sent to investigate and is soon fired upon by the Klingon vessel. The Dominion cruiser JHV Weyoun arrives to assist the Cardassian force. The Federation launches a fleet from Organia comprised of the USS Nimitz and USS Jack Ryan. The USS Nimitz is disabled by Banhar and a late-arriving Klingon frigate, IKC Hegh'QIb is disabled by the Dominion. The Hegh'QIb is destroyed, and the Nimitz's crew is taken prisoner by the Union, later to be released.
March: The Battle of Dorvan V. A combined fleet of Pryan, Orion, Gorn, Federation and Klingon vessels launch an attack on the Cardassian Union. The fleet attempts an assault on the Cardassian colony of Dorvan V. The Cardassian fleet, made up of the CSV Reklar, CSV Sage, and CSV Talsvar repel an assault made up of a Gorn Apatosaurus class, Federation Valiant II (Defiant) and Sovereign class ships, an unknown force of Pryan and Orion vessels and a Klingon Vor'cha cruiser.
March: A fleet of Klingon and Gorn vessels launch an assault on the Cardassian Union at the base at Alar Nor. The CSV Trager launches in response, with assistance provided by an allied Bajoran vessel. The engagement favours neither side, at which point the Galaxy II class Federation flagship USS Nightwing violates Cardassian borders to enter the combat area. Due to pilot error, the Nightwing is immediately disabled on arrival at Alar Nor. The aggressor fleet is forced to withdraw.
March: After months of secret communications, the Bajoran Free Nation and the Cardassian Union sign a mutual defence pact. The signing of this historic pact is made on Deep Space Nine.
February: War breaks out between the Cardassian Union and the Klingon Empire after the Empire revokes and nullifies the treaty of McAllister. The Klingons suffer heavy casualties in the initial stages of the war, losing the IKC mellota, qul'SuS, QijWa, and NaQ'taj. Cardassian losses include the scout vessel CSV Rumolear and a freighter vessel.
May-November: A mysterious race known as the "Lom" begins assaulting Cardassian vessels and planets. Numerous engagements occur around Cardassian space. The situation is resolved when Cardassian forces locate the Lom homeworld, bombard key infrastructure and force the Lom to surrender.
Fall: A high ranking member of the Dominion's Tel Cynar breaks with the Founders and is declared a terrorist. His protoge, a Vorta named Phedra, secretly supports his actions. Her mentor is eventually captured and killed, and in retaliation the vorta warns the leader of the independent world of Hallee that the Dominion is going to attack and destroy the starbase in orbit, the HNSB Hope. Reacting swiftly, the Halleean government was able to tow the starbase to safety and and the Dominion attack was thwarted. Phedra asks for, and is granted asylum on Hallee, and is the first known Vorta to defect from the Dominion. Unable to cope with her separation from the Founders, Phedra ultimately surrenders to Dominion forces in exchange for a cease fire between the Dominion and Hallee. Phedra was executed almost immediately after being taken into custody.
October: Borg activity in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants begins to rise. A combined fleet of Romulan, Cardassian, and Federation vessels engage and destroy a Borg cube. The Borg claim the Romulan world of Nogark.
October: After numerous inconclusive engagements, the Federation and the Cardassian Union sign a ceasefire.
September: The USS Navajo, a Federation Monoceros class scout violates Cardassian borders. The ensuing firefight results in an escalation in tensions between the Cardassian Union and the Federation. War breaks out shortly after.
August 29 Oolon's Omnivorium opens its doors to paying customers.
