History
Vornan was born into a moderately wealthy family around the time of the third decade of the Bajoran occupation in the year 2341. He attended one of Cardassia's many excellent public schools during his younger years and at the age of fourteen was enrolled into the Bamarren Institute by his father. The Bamarren Institute, although expensive, is open to any student who can afford the tuition. Not exactly a University level school the Bamarren Institute is designed to teach young Cardassians how to operate and survive in the cut through enivornment that is Cardassian society: subterfuge, manipulation of the truth, alliance making, politics, etc. The lessons learned in half a decade at Bamarren were invaluable and opened the door for a long career in the Madrasad (military).
Vornan then entered the Madrasad Academy and spent approximately three more years of gruelling training to become a low ranked command level officer in the Second Order. At the age of twenty one he was given his first assignment - transport command officer and pilot on Bajor. His duties there consisted primarily of organizing and piloting transports from the surface of Bajor to orbitting ships and Terok Nor. He spent three years at this post until he was moved to an anti-resistance shuttle unit which operated low altitute shuttlecraft to gather intelligence on the movements of the ever increasing resistance to the Cardassian pressence. He remained at this post until the, at the time civilian, government of the Union ordered the withdraw of Cardassian forces from Bajor. He left this post with several victories against the resistance notched on his dossier.
After the withdraw Jikall was assigned to a Haradar class battleship - extremely old and outmoded by today's standards it was top of the line at the time. He served as tactical weapons officer and the second in command for the next ten years. After the Madrasad decomissioned all of the Haradar class battleships due to a faulty design, Jikall was moved to his first command: the first of the Kalen class destroyers, CSV Kalen. He served his people at this post for another almost fifteen years, scoring many victories for the Union in various battles versus the Gorn, Klingons, and various other empires. At the age of forty-one he was reassigned to a Galor class cruiser, Mark III, named the CSV Vetar as its commanding officer.
The Kalen class destroyer project was eventually abandoned for the much more successful Aberax class project. The Vetar remained Vornan's command for the next fifteen years, until at the age of fifty-six an Obsidian Order coup attempted to take over the Cardassian Union. Taking aim at the opportunity the now Gul ranked Jikall took command of the remaining loyal forces of the Madrasad and waged war with the Obsidian Order - eventually arranging an agreement with the Obsidian Order commander to reform the two shaards of the Union into a new, more Obsidian Order slanted government. He bided his time and eventually overthrew the Obsidian Order component ending the reign of terror they had waged upon the Cardassian People.
Jikall then reorganized the government into a strict Military dictatorship with him as the supreme commander and Legate of the Cardassian people. He stayed at this post for five years until he determined that his guidance was no longer required. As he retired he once again re-organized the government to more adequately supply the Cardassian people with a voice. Since his retirement the former Legate has slowly backed into the dark shadows of a private civilian life.
