Ven Sural

Summary
Ven Sural is a General Diplomat in the People's Union of Cardassia, formerly known as the Cardassian Union. He graduated from Anakorn Academy with High Honors in Diplomatic Studies in 2403 and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the direction of Legate Nemoris Tolmak shortly thereafter. Presently, he has had direct dealings with representatives of the Galactic Ferengal Alliance and is looking forward to further assignments within the Ministry. Ven currently resides in Apartment 3 of the Gortan Avenue apartment complex in the Torr Sector of Cardassia Prime, more commonly known as Ven's Apartment.
Appearance
The male Cardassian standing before you appears only mildly intimidating. His leathery complexion and pronounced facial ridges are offset by what could almost (but not quite) be considered an amiable smile. He regards his surroundings with a subtle air of confidence, and seems to carry himself with a poise that would befit a diplomat or experienced trader.
He is smartly dressed in a traditional civilian tunic and dark pants, but as he bows slightly in greeting, he snaps his heels together in an almost military gesture. His boots appear to have been recently polished and his belt is cinched firmly around a taut physique.
As you look closer, you notice that the finely crafted belt appears to be woven from strands of high-grade leather and shimmers slightly as its wearer moves about. The fastener is made of polished bronze and is shaped into the symbol of the Cardassian Union. It appears to have been an expensive gift, perhaps from a wealthy family member or benefactor.
His eyes, the color of deep mocha, shift warily around the room, never focusing in one place too long lest something else be missed.
Background
Ven hails from the Sural family, a powerful, upper-class family from the Coranum Sector of Cardassia Prime. Ven's father, Dakar, the family patriarch, owns and operates Sural Import/Export Group (SIEG), a successful trade conglomerate based on Cardassia.
Having studied the historical workings of Cardassian diplomacy from a very young age, Ven has an avid interest in foreign relations and, upon graduation from Anakorn Academy, has chosen to pursue a career within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Dakar's dream for his children was for them all to follow in his footsteps and pursue a mercantile profession within the family business, thus bringing more renown to the family. Ven realizes that his chosen career path has been a disappointment to his father, and perhaps it is for this reason that he has also chosen to become active within the Cardassian Ministry of Trade.
Ven has two older brothers, Tokar and Verok, both of whom are members of the family trade company and are very wealthy. Verok has taken a wife from another powerful family, the Durans, and they have an infant son, Damon, of whom Ven has grown quite fond. Ven and Verok maintain a close relationship despite the tension between Ven and their father, and Ven frequenty visits his brother when he is not offworld on missions for one Ministry or the other.
