Vas'deletham

Vas'deletham class destroyer gunboat.
The Galae had issued a development order for two new classes of destroyers: one to be of a standard destroyer-type design, the second to be a dedicated cannon platform. A design was submitted for the former, which was approved and became the Ael'sienae class. With a view to saving development costs and design time, once the Ael'sienae prototype was accepted by the Galae and construction was ordered, the prototype was stripped of its armaments and exploration equipment, and refitted with three rapid-fire disruptor cannons and one plasma torpedo tube, along with improved armour. As such, the Vas'deletham packs a lethal punch, and is exceptionally well suited to operating in wolfpacks with other Vas'delethams and an Ael'sienae lead ship. However, it is less-equipped to deal with threats alone.
