Vanguard Industries

From ATS Wiki

A company founded approximately in 2396 or 2397 by Joshua Hayes as an importing-exporting company. Office description is as follows:

Front Desk - Vanguard Industries

A rather largish room, with several open-air desk stations, each with a humanoid dressed in a grey uniform with thin yellow trim either shuffling padds, communicating to people on semi-concealed viewscreens, or typing away on touch pads. On the far wall is a metal plaque showing a gold star with silver trails shooting up through rings of grey, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. There are two obvious doors, one on the far wall near the plaque, and one on the adjacent wall to the right. The walls seem very anachronistic, being made of dark brown earthen bricks, with a thick grey mortar. The ceiling seems to be nothing more than a series of rafters of thick oak wood and metal ventiliation tubes for an environmental control system. On the left wall is a large fireplace, trimmed with large flagstones, next to which is a small replicator.

Private Office - Vanguard Industries

This room is of the same earthen brick and dark oak decor, but only a quarter of the size of the room you just left. There is another fireplace in this room on the adjacent right wall, but surrounded with a deep red stained glass fence that dims the light and gives the room a dark ruddy glow. There are muted light panels along the wall tops, which seem to offset the color of the firplace. On the left wall are various repeater displays giving stock quotes, ships locations, cargo manifests and other assorted data. In the back middle of the room sits a large dark oak desk, with an antique lamp and microscope upon it. On the far wall is a small library with an assortment of ancient-looking books and several flasks and decanters, presumably filled with fine cognacs and brandies from across the galaxy. Several wide-mouthed glasses reflect the glow of the fire and the displays.
