Tyveron is a Security Officer in Starfleet, currently assigned to the 214th Fleet. He is Ranked Lieutenant.

He is the creator of the Power Doctrine of Squad Combat.

Description

An 'average-sized' (5'11"/220lbs) male humanoid (Benzite) with smooth, hairless, mottled blue skin. His cranium is crested with a thick protrusion that extends down over the face, displaying a prominent nasal lobe and brow that protect two unsettling reflective silver eyes. Two facial tendrils, similar to the barbels of a Catfish, droop down from above the upper lip. The left side of his face and neck is horrifically scarred, charred by some type of plasma burn. The man exudes an air of quiet confidence, built with broad shoulders and a considerable musculoskeletal system indicative of regular time spent engaged in strenuous physical activity. His six-fingered hands are exceptionally unusual, each having two diametrically-opposed thumbs.

Personal History

Civilian History

Although a Benzite, Tyveron was not born on Benzar. In fact, he did not enter existence on any rock at all. A Spacer, born and bred, Tyveron is the result of the mating of Tyvero and Isilri, two lifelong deep space surveyors and researchers. Nearly all of his growing years were spent in various types of shoddy spacecraft traversing the far corners of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. Anti-gravity being anything but free, Tyveron spent much of his youth in zero-g. Spatial orientation is not a luxury but a necessity when up is sometimes down, and an innate sense of direction is etched into his very being. His parents, like most Benzites, were analytical minds who focused more on science and theories than fun and games. Luckily, his parents generally worked alongside other Benzite families with children in the a proximal age range to him. Their days, when not spent in study, involved play time on the surface of various asteroids and small moons in various states of weightlessness. A rather serious and focused child, Tyveron developed an appreciation for physical fitness at an early age. Various methods of resistance-based weight training were available in light gravity and provided him with adequate stamina to operate in higher gravity planets such as Gornar. During his teens, the family mostly worked in and around the fringes of the Gorn Confederacy and Tholian Assembly space, scouting valuable nebulae and mineral lodes on contract for the Confederacy, and generally avoiding the crystalline Tholians as often as possible. Despite years of luck at this, fate had a hand in their small reconnaissance ship meeting with an Assembly Destroyer that offered only weapons fire in response to a hail. Their vessel was disabled and left to float in the airless void. The only survivor of the explosion, Tyveron managed to eek out an existence by routing the remaining power and life support to a small cargo hold. What he was forced to sustain his life on is better left unsaid. Just when things were looking final, Tyveron closed his eyes for what seemed the last time. He found himself as if coming from a dream what was in fact weeks later aboard a Gorn Confederacy scout vessel.

If one word was used to describe the major empires in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, it might go something like this: Federation is Compassion, Ferengi is Profit, Klingon is Honor, Romulan is Duty, Cardassian is Family, Bajor is Spirit, and Gorn is Survival. The Gorn are nothing if not apex survivors. They evolved on a brutal planet in a sparse sector of the quadrant, surrounded by emptiness on one side, innately hostile Tholians on another side, and devious Romulans on the other. These survivors took in Tyveron as a foster child of sorts, seeing a bit of their own essence in his situation. The young man was nursed back to health, in a health system that is infact very motherly and nursing when needed due to their matriarchal roots. Having no family ties of any strength on Benzar, his parents being self-determind outsiders as they were, he was made a ward of the state on Gornar and sponsored as a student at the Confederacy University. There he ultimately elected to focus his studies in the equivalent field to 'Criminal Justice.' Certainly the Gorn legal system is unlike the Federation system, but an understanding of foreign systems was integral to his studies. He grew to appreciate the strengths of various culture's methods for dealing with society's problems; the preventive education of the Cardassians, the rapid apprehension of the Romulans, the firm and swift justice of the Gorn, the rehabilition programs of the Federation, and if necessary the public executions of the Klingons to serve as examples. A love of study became his life for the next eight years. He graduated near the top of his class in consecutive Criminal Justice programs; Associate of Science CJ, Bachelor of Science CJ, Master of Science CJ, and his CJ PhD. Armed with these degrees and a wealth of theory, he was excited to begin making a difference, only to find that there was no place for a Benzite in the Gorn legal system. Seeing only the Tholians, slayers of his family, and Romulans, a xenophobic people, his only option was to return to the Federation where his people claimed allegiance. Having no real contacts, he took a series of merchant ships until he finally reached Terra. There he ventured to San Franciso and enlisted in Starfleet.

Tyveron is a self-motivated individual with a strong sense of purpose. His parents taught him the importance of science and learning, but most importantly the value of a bedrock of integrity and honesty. He is physically gifted for his race, being both strongly-built and dexterous. Excellent spatial awareness, is written into his double helix. Like most Benzites, he feels the need to only mentions problems once he has a solution for them, rather than complaining for complaints sake. Self-control and proper attitude are important to him, both personally and for those around him. An excellent candidate for Starfleet, only time will tell if he can handle the military lifestyle.

Starfleet History

After completing the Starfleet Enlisted Program on Earth, Tyveron was assigned to the Security Department of the USS Achilles. After a few months of service, he took a brief sabbatical to finish his collegiate work on Gornar. Upon returning, he was assigned to the USS Avanguard. He served as Tactical in multiple combat engagements against the Hirogen in the Delta Quadrant. A fast learner, his spacer background and Benzite manual dexterity have allowed him to become a competent helmsman and fighter pilot. Noted for a deep appreciation of physical security, Tyveron is often found training with and instructing others in ranged and melee survival techniques.

Tyveron attended Starfleet Academy and was commissioned to the rank of Ensign. He served as the Chief Security Officer of the USS Avanguard. After the merge, he is now a Security Officer in the 214th Fleet.
