Early Career in the Second Order
Tobin Pandek graduated from the Academy with a fierce devotion to mother Cardassia and a need to prove himself. Opportunities came quickly as the entered into the second war with the Kzinti Hegemony over Iure Prime.
Tobin fought in a series of unsuccessful campaigns in an attempt to win back Iure Prime from the Kzinti. He progressed up the ranks slowly, but was recognized for his skill in battle.
Rise to Gul
With return to power of Legate Vornan Jikal, Tobin was promoted to Gul, and named the Legate's Chief of Staff. Tobin's first mission in his new role was to oversee the establishment of a Cardassian colony in the Delta Quadrant, Prodaze IX.
It was in the Delta Quadrant that Tobin began his infamous and bitter war with then Gul of the Second order, Jarek. It was over a series of incidents with native people of the Delta Quadrant that Tobin pressed his advantage. He accused the other Gul of treason, and Gul Jarek fled for parts unknown. He was never seen from again.
Gul of the Second Order
With the departure of Jarek, Tobin was given command of the second order. His first orders were to mobilize a portion of the fleet into the Tesinel Battlegroup, a wing of Madrasad vessels. The battlegroup's first major mission was to protect Chelestra Station from the growing Orion pirate threat.
It was here that Tobin began to partner with FCA Director Nagus S'al. Together they would eventually form the Allied Forces, consisting of Cardassian, Shiar, Federation, and Bajoran forces. Their first target was to invade the planet of [Gamora III], which would become the first phase of the Gamoran War.
It was a catastrophic defeat for the Allied Forces. Humiliated in defeat, Tobin resigned as Gul, and disappeared, like Jarek: never to be seen or heard from again.
