With the end of 2006, maybe we can update the game history section? I would add lots, but I only know about my little corner of what is going on. Would be great if everyone could add something! --Bioguy 12:47, 21 December 2006 (PST)
Could one have an explanation here about what the IC date means/how it is calculated? I don't know myself, or I'd add it...
The stardate takes the secs() function (which itself is the number of seconds since "Wed Dec 31 18:00:00 1969". 558964800 is subtracted from this number (which is about 17.75 years). This new value is divided by 31557.6, and finally 61153.7 is added.
This conversion function is built in automatically, thankfully:
secs2sd(<a value outputted by the secs() function>) - returns the stardate for given secs() value sd2secs(<a stardate>) - returns a secs() value for a given stardate

(Not sure I've gotten this comment code right, pardon any oddness)
-- I would suggest keeping the history with the most recent events to the top of the page, both for ease of adding things as they happen on the game, and so one wouldn't have to keep scrolling down to the bottom to look for any new entries. (While initially one may be adding more history from wayback, once that's in place changes would be more likely for recent events.)
This page originally had stardates for some of the entires -- I rather liked that, can't we put them back? Why were they deleted?
Aidoann 12:52, 26 March 2006 (PST) If there are stardates available, it'd be nice if they were added.
Jennifer 4:08, 26 March 2006 (EST) I would prefer to have stardates when available. Even if they're not available for all entries now, this is a wiki; there's always the chance that someone will figure out the stardates later and add them. Towards that end, let's figure out a format where it won't look bad to have a mix of entries with stardates and without.
