Stormbird Enterprises exists to serve the explorer, the adventurer, and the entrepeneur, by supplying those individuals with the means of existance in their endeavours, wherever their travels may take them.
Background
Stormbird Enterprises was incorporated as a company in the Bajoran Free Nation on Stardate 80501.22 by Ian Sturmvogel. Stormbird Enterprises is a Trading Company in the vein of the Terran 'Hudson Bay Company.' The concept is simple - to supply and outfit colonists, in this case, in the Gamma and Delta Quadrants. Each 'branch' of Stormbird Enterprises acts as a general store and trading post, where goods brought to the store can be traded for necessities of colonization. These goods are then sent via wormhole back to the Beta Quadrant and sold at the home office as raw materials to other manufacturers. Some of these manufactured goods may then be made again into supplies, necessities, jackets, etc, and in turn resold to colonists in the Gamma Quadrant under the Stormbird Enterprises label, lower priced than other comparable labels due to the lower overhead the Company has. The Company also funds trading expeditions to seek out new markets. Ian Sturmvogel will often lead such expeditions, and will add a scientific and exploratory bent to such missions.
