Stargate Destruction

The Cardassian Union - in an effort to defuse a possibly dangerous situation in regards to the Aurellans and stargate technology - launched an assault against the Federation planet of Organia. Disguising a heavy tug as a freigher the Cardassians entered orbit of the planet under the announcement of trade. Once in range they locked tractor beams upon the Federation stargate, USB Jadma'kaa, towed it a few parsecs from the planet and destroyed it. In an effort to stop them the USS Saratoga (Galaxy Class), a Zhrakadi vessel, and the USS Reliant (Defiant class) attacked the Cardassians - they failed. The Saratoga was disabled but was allowed to be towed back to base before the Cardassians returned home, victory in hand.
