Siegfried von Weber

Siegfried von Weber was born on Earth approximately twenty-one years ago in the city of Leipzig, Germany. He is a member of the great von Weber family. He is Dietrich von Weber's older brother.

Starfleet
Siegfried von Weber joined Starfleet at the age of 18. Through dedication and hardwork he received his Flight Certificate 2nd Class, global level four security access to all Starfleet planets, ships, and bases, and was promoted to Petty Officer 2nd Class. He participated in the battle to free Viltvodle from the GTI. During his time in Starfleet, however, his rebellious nature was awakened.
On a trading mission to Romulan space, Siegfried was attacked by a Romulan warship. After using his excellent piloting abilities to escape the grasp of the Galae vessel, Siegfried returned to Earth where he was placed under "starbase arrest" and confined to Starbase 001 (Spacedock) for approximately a week during which he was interrogated by Romulan agents that had come to Earth. This infuriated Siegfried and as soon as the incident with the Romulans was settled he resigned from Starfleet.
Universal Shipping Incorporated
After leaving Starfleet, Siegfried purchased a freighter, originally named the SS Pirates' Doom, a Freighter-V class trade vessel. With this, he founded Universal Shipping Incorporated. The company was based on Mars and a large office/warehouse was built there, complete with landing pads. USI was originally formed to ship goods and transport passengers but quickly diversified as business was good.
Siegfried presided over the opening of Allspace Insurance, a subsidiary owned by USI. This was soon followed by the opening of a action figure factory, selling various action figures of Siegfried and other important historical items.
Political Career
Not long after he founded Universal Shipping Incorporated did Siegfried get involved in politics. He stood in the 2401 Presidential elections against well-known people, such as Sam Bungar and T'Sha. Days before the finish of the campaign season, however, Siegfried received threats from Admiral Mm'rek Llin of Starfleet, warning him to quit the election or else. After much hard thought, and realizing that it was Mm'rek Llin that had murdered his brother, Dietrich, he decided to drop out of the election.
His exit from the 2401 Presidential Elections did not end his political aspirations. He continued his political activism and helped various charities and causes across the galaxy. In late 2401/early 2402, Siegfried announced that he would donate latinum each month to the Bajoran Free Nation to assist in the funding of orphanages for Bajoran refugees.
Demise
Soon after opening his line of dolls, which proved wildly successful, he was the victim of a Borg attack. The Borg, wanting to add to their computers the dolls, chased after Siegfried, eventually catching up to him over the planet of Ekos. Starfleet vessels were called to the scene but they did not move to protect him from the Borg, and instead allowed him to be murdered by the Borg. An investigation was opened into this by the Federation government but it did not get anywhere.
Legacy
Universal Shipping Incorporated assets were seized by the Federation Department of Justice to repay fines that were levied against Siegfried von Weber before his demise. The company is no longer in existence.
