Sherman's Planet Colony

The name of a colony formerly located on Sherman's Planet. The planet was captured during the First GTI War by the 17th Expeditionary Force, under the command of Commander Talia Dare, and subsequently reduced to a fireball. In the final days of that first war, the planet was retaken, the 17th Expeditionary Force defeated, and their stargate destroyed.
The planet was then recaptured by the Imperium's Fifth Fleet, under the temporary command of Commander Slade Wilson. The majority of the colonists (including leader Wedge Gax) moved to Donatu V after the evacuation. The Fifth Fleet was nearly successful in constructing a stargate to allow the whole of the Imperium's invasion fleet access to this dimension when unknown parties detonated an Omega Weapon in a parallel dimension. Reports indicate that this was done to destroy an Imperium-controlled Dyson Sphere that served as their military headquarters.
The destructive force of the Omega molecule bled into this dimension, destroying subspace in a 20 parsec radius, with Sherman's Planet in the center. This field of 'nullspace' remained until repair efforts by the Gardeners repaired subspace and allowed warp fields to be generated again.
The Unity claimed the planet shortly thereafter, and retains control.
