The vessel was paid for and commissioned by hru'Hfirh Ishadhael e-Khellian t'Radaik to serve as the first freighter owned directly by the Radaik business enterprise, Radaik Holdings, LLC, of which all members of the hfihar (Romulan House-clan) are employees and shareholders. Following its commission, the vessel served in its intended role for some months.
Roughly half a year later, a decree was made that transferred all privately-owned vessels to state control, with freighters going to the Ilnetha'Aihrifv. This decree was protested by Radaik Holdings, and the vessel was for some time kept outside Shiar space, its onboard security systems replaced by a system developed by Fethreia Electronics, a member firm of the Radaik Holdings conglomerate (OOC: this just means that the security level was set to level 13 on board the ship, and authorised (i.e., members of s'Radaik) crewmembers were given that level of clearance on the ship's local security list).
A lengthy dispute continued for some time over the ownership of the vessel, but this eventually faded off after a statement issued by hru'Hfirh Radaik saying that, in times of emergency, the vessel would be made available for use by all Ilnetha and Galae personnel. Since then, it has operated for the most part as any other freighter belonging to the Ilnetha'Aihrifv (though more often than not, by employees of Radaik Holdings), however, Radaik Holdings continues to view it as a company asset, and continues to list it in annual reports.
