Quarks! Named after Quark a Ferengi who previously owned and named the place after himself. It is a bar resturant combination which serves fare from all over the known Galaxy. It is a popular waypoint for those on long voyages as it offers a stop off point where people can go and relax and have food and drink.
Within Quarks is The Casino, Holo Suites which can serve a multitude of functions, from a Dabo party to a conference, depending on the requirements of the renter, a 50-50 Machine which pays out 50 percent of the income to a randomly drawn winner and 50 percent to the Vedek Assembly for their charity work with the children on Bajor, a DS9 Raffle Machine, and a stage which can be used for various productions. Also let's not forget Morn who is an icon of the place. He can be told various tidbits of informaition or gossip if you will and others can querry him as to what he has heard. A fun time for all and if you pay him enough he just might tell you where he got his information.
Quarks is famous as a place where deals are made. Traders come here looking for pilots, pilots hang out waiting for jobs, desirables and undesireables frequent the place. Station security tries to keep the place clean and trouble free but at times it seems to be a losing battle. Makes one wonder what goes on behind closed doors.
