Marco Zorzi was the fourth of nine children of Brilgar and Maria Zorzi, a family of modest means farming on small plantation in the agrarian Ka'reel Province on Trill. They owned and worked four kilometers^2 of land where they grew primarily Regrean wheat, Bontell Hops, and Minar, a sugar-crop native to Trill.
At 18, he moved from Trill to the sparsely populated Punent Cluster, where he worked for his brother's livery, passenger, and communication service. Being inside an ionic dust cloud, the subspace communication was impossible and transportation with in the system was near impossible. Marco learned hard and fast to how fly through the ion storms and dust squalls in the ntersystem Bush.
Five years later the business failed as larger, chain livery companies moved into the system. He turned his attention to larger freight vessels. He began working as a freighter pilot for the Federation Merchant Marines on the Bolarus to Tellar run. He worked on that run for two years, working his way up to Third Mate.
By late 2403, Marco had become disgusted with the Federation’s evolving belief of being security officer of the galaxy, and their use of Starfleet, a force founded with peaceful intents, as a means to extend their brand of Imperialist Dominance over the non-Federation citizens, whom Marco felt should be left alone. Additionally he fled what he perceived as the Federation’s feeling that it knew what was best for each of its citizens and its policy of interfering in their daily lives.
In early 2404, Marco renounced his Federation citizenship and immigrated to the Unified Qvarne Sector. He currently works as a freighter captain for Freebird Enterprise’s Qvarne Sector Logistics subsidiary.
On 25 March 2404, he was made a full Captain in the QSL merchant fleet and given command of MTF Ostentatious Wanamaker.
On 23 April 2404, Marco purchased a small company called Galactic Interior Trading Services (GITS, LLC.).
On 28 June 2404, while on a run from Alpha Centauri to Gamma Eridon, MTF Ostentatious Wanamaker was attacked by chR Lhael roughly 20 parsecs from the Gamma Eriadon system. Ostentatious Wanamaker was heavily damaged and Marco was forced to order an evacuation. Marco and five of his crew escaped in the Bridge escape pod. They spent nearly a day adrift until they were picked up by the USS Interceptor. The Captain of the Interceptor was unable to locate either further escape pod beacons or the Ostentatious Wanamaker. It was assumed that chR Lhael made off with the vessel and perhaps the remainder of the crew.
Marco and his fellow survivors spent the next week on Starbase 73 for medical evaluation before they returned to Qvarne IV. He was assigned temporarily to MTF Ulysses Sojourn.

After the death of Chairlady Vena Delukanasi on 8 July 2404, and the succession of Prosper Group President Jonathon Starsmore to that position, the general population of employees began to revolt against the Directorate. The violence eventually carried over to all non-native born Qvarni. Marco felt it best to leave Qvarne for the time-being after his apartment building had been torched by disgruntled Employees. He closed out his accounts with Blackstar Banks and headed for the Messier Starport to evacuate the hostility on the surface of Qvarne IV for QSB Erubescent Eclipse.
Upon arriving at the Starport, Marco found that MTF Ulysses Sojourn had been heavily damaged by uprising Employees, his crew had too small to fight back the crowds. Finding a small ground transport vehicle, they crossed the Starport and found the last ship left on the field: a small orbital tanker Qtk Imminent Reaction. The crew could only get twenty other refugees on board, and many were left behind. Just before the hatch was closed a mother passed her daughter through the hatch as the tanker's thrusters fired.
Qtk Imminent Reaction docked with QSB Erubescent Eclipse where most refugees were escaping to. Marco now found himself with an abandoned pre-adolescent , and what remained of his crew from the Ostentatious Wanamaker on board joining lines of evacuees trying to get out of the sector. Marco and his crew boarded QCV Queen of Blades with the remnants of the Freebird Enterprises Directorate as they escaped from the now hostile employee base.
QCV Queen of Blades arrived at Earth and the refugees were granted asylum by the Federation. Though his feelings toward the Federation had softened considerably, he still was not ready to reacquire his Federation citizenship, especially under such humiliating circumstances. With his crew from Ostentatious Wanamaker that joined him (including new addition Hmnei Zorzi), he traveled to Ferenganor where he sought Ferengi citizenship and obtained an FCA Business License. With the funds he had, he purchased a relatively battered ('Previously Loved' as the Ship Dealer put it) heavy freighter, which he named FMF Hine-Tu-Whenua, and, under the GITS name, hired a crew to fill her out.
On Stardate 81584.240535, those softened feelings towards the Federation harden once more when President Shaleen unilaterally barred all Ferengi vessels and citizens from Federation space during the Federation's border disputes and brushfire skirmishes with the Cardassian Union and Romulan Star Empire in mid-2404.
Need to think how I'm going to explain this, since GFA org ranks are social classes and not ranks, but on 20 March Marco was made a Hesage'
After the Fall of the Qvarne Sector to the Kzinti in September of 2404, Marco founded The Tharsis Group as a conglomerate to retain ownership of the Qvarne-based GITS, LLC. and to diversify his sources of income.
Following the death of Daon Dek Trig at the hands of Federation assassins, Marco was selected to succeed as Daon of Tolagor and Llystad.
On Stardate 81819.524587 <18 May 2008>, Nagus Stokosva was announced as having been killed by the Kzntiti. Marco withdrew to a Grazerite monastery on Llystad for several weeks, meditating with the monks. Marco came out with a changed worldview, including swearing to never kill another sentient unless in self-defense.
I was made uDaon of Artificer recently. I need to figure out what the Stardate was I probably should also add in the bits about launching the Munspelheim Sector Company
Somewhere around Stardate XXXXX.XXXXX, Nagus Stokosva named Marco the Cadillac of Skymart station. Marco has not abused that position or rattled a pompous sabre one-bit within the Gamoran Task Force since that appointment. Marco was also named Grand Proxy of the Conclave of Daons.
Shortly after his becoming Cadillac of SkyMart, Marco resigned from this position after it became clear to him that the Cardassian and Terran members of the Task Force were an unreasonable lot when they slandered and kidnapped him while he tried to protect SkyMart from possible contagion. Since his resignation, the Bajoran government has named him governor of Kainon Station in the Gamma Quadrant as part of the exchange program that saw Bajoran Major Itasha Pand named Cadillac of Skymart.
During the event, however, Marco was transported into a brig. He is very much concerned whether he is still himself and whether or not his soul is still intact.
Marco presently is spending time on Llystad, working the soil and trying to reclaim himself.
