Lesser Magellanic Cloud

The Lesser Magellanic Cloud can be a dangerous place to travel, since any movement at warp speed makes a ship vulnerable to periodic lightning bolts. If one does not move at warp speed (i.e. launching from USB Stormwatch and landing directly on Kildare V), then lightning bolts will not strike your ship.
Lightning damage can be quite severe and can even disable a ship if one is not careful.
There are three planets in the LMC, and only one stargate to and from this area of space. This stargate is in USB Stormwatch, above Kildare V
