Kaval Seeto

A young man from the Gamma Quadrant who grew up in a farming community on a world which held allegiance to the Bajoran Free Nation. His father raised Kava for export to the Alpha Quadrant and the Beta Quadrant. His brother was a trader and when Kaval was old enough he would accompany his older brother on trading missions within the Gamma Quadrant. As he grew Kaval learned the management of the farm and helped his father with the shipping and packaging of the Kava Fruit of which Bajoran Springwine is made.
Kaval at an early age used to sit and listen at community meetings where the elders would meet to discuss the community business. As he grew though he began wanting to visit Deep Space Nine and the Alpha Quadrant.
When he was old enough and with his Father's and the villiage elders blessings he booked passage on a freighter to the Alpha Quadrant and to DS9 (Deep Space Nine). The passage through the wormhole terrified Kaval and he stayed the entire time in his cabin. Upon arrival at Deep Space Nine he hired on as a freighter hand and earned enough money to lease a freighter.
Thus he began his career as a freighter captain. Deeply religious Kaval began giving most of his earnings to the Vedek Assembly and to the Government of Bajor. Some he sent home to his parents and a portion he kept for living expenses. As time went on he began to put more and more in the bank for use as investment capital, but always being sure to pay more than his tithe.
As he became familiar with those on Deep Space Nine he caught the attention of the Owner of Quarks. The previous manager had been killed and problems were arising with the staff at Quarks, and the owner, late one night, took Kaval aside and asked him if he would like to manage the place for him, with one stipulation. No one was to know who was the owner of Quarks. Kaval agreed and began managing Quarks and trading on the side in his spare time. With declining sales to worry about and trade dropping off as a result of the Klingon/Romulan war Kaval decided to do something about it.
