The Galactic Ferengal Alliance is a political entity started by the bargaining and contract-making skills of the Ferengi around their homeworld. It consists of many races and worlds, but its outward face tends to be dominated by Ferengi just as the UFP tends to remain represented by Terrans.

Each planet in the GFA tends to operate as an independent world, and takes on a distinctive character. The Alliance provides a legal structure, the Ferengi Commerce Authority, which regulates and oversees trade. It also operates a military, whose principal occupation is the enforcement of contracts. Alliance diplomats also tend to work for the government, which is seated on Ferenganor, the homeworld of the Ferengi.

Perhaps the best known non-Ferengi planet in the Alliance is Nausicaa. The Nausicaans are a race of fighters known for strength, bravery and piracy. The Ferengi view Nausicaans as natural employees, with their size and strength well-matched to large alien customers, and have made large investments in the planet's economy, making it into a major market.

Ferengi planets are under the control of their governor, or Daon. The Daons meet in a Conclave which decides most policy, to be executed by the Grand Nagus, the head of state. The rank of Nagus is bestowed upon citizens of great wealth and distinction by the Conclave. Ferengi ship captains are called DaiMon, and their mission is principally to discover new markets and evaluate them for exploitation. The GFA operates perhaps the largest freighter fleet in the known galaxy, and they are the only makers of the largest class of freighter vessels.

With its focus on doing business with anyone anywhere, the GFA may be the most adaptable of factions. Ripples of profound change have spread through the Alliance as a result of contact with outside civilizations. The pace of change here is brisk.

The FNF is a shell of it's former self with it's authority resting now under the umbrella of the FCA. Once incorporated into the FCA the FNF now has the full resources of the FCA to assist it in this rebirth period.

The Galactic Ferengal Alliance

This Represents the @org as a whole, within this group fits 90% of the players, The Conclave and the Grand Nagus. The forces of this group represent the economic interests of themselves and their companies/colonies/daonships/udonships/etc.

The Conclave/Grand Nagus and the FCA have a working relationship where understood the will of the conclave will not necessarily order the FCA to make certain movements but will certainly guide & influence those decisions. As well the FCA only imparts its authority on it's profitable citizens when needed and usually with as Lessie-fair approach as possible. Tensions between the two organizations are rather non-existent as the FCA has the Conclaves best interests at heart and vice-versa.

    • The Nausicaan wort virus kills 95 percent of the Nausicaan population. It will be known as one of the worst plagues in history
  • 1958
    • Ferengi colonists traveling in 3 non-warp ships found colony on Fenalgar. The planets enviroment is nearly identical to that of the homeworld, the colony flourishes.
  • 1970
    • Ferengi enter acquire warp techology from an unknown race and enter the galactic trade community the same year.
  • 1973
    • Ferengi explorer Chemarra finds an inhabitable M classed planet and names it Chemarra Prime.
  • 2035
    • The native populations of Llystad and Tolagor sign a contract with the Ferengi Empire, creating the Galactic Ferengal Alliance.
  • 2047
    • The Nausicaans are uplifted to industrial civilization by the Romulans.
  • 2050
    • The Nausicaans enter the Romulan-Klingon war, the amount of bloodshed on both sides is legendary.
  • 2075
    • Slug-O-Cola, a Ferengi beverage business, creates an advertising slogan that it keeps for the next 300 years.
  • 2084
    • Warlord Rr'tak'ma creates the short-lived Nausicaan Empire.
  • 2088
    • Nausicaan forces under command of Warlord Rr'tak'ma conquer the planet Zekit. No trace of the pre-warp civilization is left.

    • Warlord Rr'tak'ma is murdered in his sleep. Nausicaan empire falls under internal fighting. Nausicaan dark age begins.

    • Chudak is born. He will become famous as the Ferengi to amass the largest amount of Latinum without interdimensional trade.

    • A Ferengi merchant encounters a crippled Choraii ship marooned in space. The Ferengi exchange metal for five Human captives, who in turn are sold to the U.F.P.
  • 2352
    • The Ferengi begin experiencing the economic downturn they refer to as the 'Great Monetary Collapse'.
  • 2355
    • Nausicaans join the GFA. Details of the negotiations are destroyed.
    • USS Stargazer is turned to salvage at the Battle of Maxia by an early model of the D'kora.
  • 2357
    • The Cardassians take an interest in the strategic importance of Megara (329 Aurigae II) and hire Ferengi to begin advancing the natives as part of a long-term plan to strike back at the Federation. Within the next decade, an extensive industrial infrastructure employing slave labor will be created. Daimon Chudak finances the whole operation with 50 billion credits

    • The GFA makes a trade agreement with the Karemma, it is one of the first indirect contacts with the Dominion.
    • Federation ship U.S.S. Sheffield interfers with Ferengi trade on Borgia V

    • Nausicaan raidering party uses an ultrasonic generator to loot the central museum on Remmil VI.
  • 2373
    • The Bolian governement turned over control of it's gambling emporiums to the Ferengi Gaming Comission.
  • 2395
    • Aurelian warhost destroy almost the entire surface of the planet Llystad.
  • 2396
    • The Daons Conclave makes the first and only interdimensional trade deal. The profit is so great that all economies are debased.
    • Terrorist bombs the Tower of Commerce on Ferenganor.
    • Overnight all latinum mysteriously disappears. GFA merchants quickly begin restablizing the galactic markets. Grand Nagus Zed retires and Grand Nagus Xordoc takes control.
    • The long standing military between the GFA and the Cardassians. War is declared between to the two galactic powers. It is however short lived, lasting but a month.
    • Grand Nagus Xordoc is removed from office by the FCA. Grand Nagus Krae is elected by profit.
    • Federation terrorists assassinate Grand DaiMon Sariu'Kilta, the Ferengal Naval Force is left in disarray.
  • 2404
    • Daon Dek Trig is assassinated by Starfleet officers whom he requested medical aide and protection from Bajoran pirates from.
  • 2405
    • FCA removes BFN from Sanctioned list and adds FDS. Contracts with the BFN resume and buisness sky rockets.
