Location and Colonial History
Freehaven is located in the Sanelar system, it is the only Terran (M) class planet in the system. Freehaven was formerly a colony of the Bajoran Free Nation. Freehaven is Presently a colony of the United Federation of Planets. After the Bajoran Free Nation was Reconstituted the planet of Freehaven was not part of the revised list of colonial assets despite requests from the Local Planetary Government. It is unknown to this day why the planet of Freehaven was the only Colony held among the planets that made up the Bajoran Free Nation before it joined the Federation.
Geography
Freehaven is a typical M class planetoid. There are several large continents as well as two major island archpeligos. There is only one major city on the planet at this time which houses the Spaceport and Market. Several smaller settlements have begun to crop up over the last few decades but none of them rival the capital city in size, industrial output or population

- Migration rates have been slowly increasing in recent years since the Bajoran Free Nation left the Federation. Many original settlers have moved back to Bajor to be with their families who didn't wish to stay on Freehaven.

- Local Intercontinental Trade
- Local Trade centrally exists between the Capital city and the outlying settlements. The Local economy is completely self-sustainable at it's current levels and is highly environmentally responsible. Due to Bajoran influence, it's Major industries are cultural in nature including Music/Art Production and printed texts or publications. Federation planners have located a few deposits of Titanium ore on the planet in some of the planets deepest Oceanic Trenches.

Defense/Military
- Federation's Starfleet: Several small fightercraft are stored aboard and launched from the orbiting space station which helps make the planet an important strategic asset for Starfleet regarding the Cardassians. Several Detachments of Marines are also located on the planet.
- Bajoran Militia: There is no offical Bajoran Defense Force on the planet however the Police force is almost entirely Bajoran and there are numerous Militia members that live on the planet.
