Federation President

The Federation President is an elected position in the United Federation of Planets. The President is the Commander-in-Chief of Starfleet, as well as the Federation's Chief Diplomat. The position was eliminated in government reform in early 2006 and was replaced by the position of Chief Councilor of the Federation Council. In early 2007, the position of President was reinstated.
