Named for one of the Elements that Rihannsu worship, the chR Lhael has become of the one most recognized and feared Rihannsu warships in recent years. The first named ship was an Ael'sienae destroyer assigned to the Elemental Wing, a group of 4 Ael'sienae class warships each named for one of the Elements. The Wing operated as a 'wolfpack' in major engagements, but operated alone during standard patrols and special missions. The Lhael became the most famous ship of the Wing when it became the first command of Arrain Willaev tr'Aieme. Under Arrain tr'Aieme's command, the Lhael served in several conflicts and skirmishes against the Klingons, Cardassians, Federation, Gorn, Veridan, and many other smaller powers. The Lhael racked up an impressive number of victories and kills yet to be matched by any other Galae warship. It became the Flagship of the Triad Imperium when Arrain Willaev tr'Aieme was promoted to khre'Riov and elected to the position of Supreme Commander of the Triad Imperium's military forces. Eventually, the Triad Imperium collapsed, and the Lhael found itself in combat against Cardassian forces whom had been committing acts of piracy against merchants in the area of Bajor. Klingon forces decided to intervene in the skirmish, and mistook the Lhael as one of the pirates, which they quickly attacked. Betrayed by it's Klingon 'allies', outnumbered and outgunned, the Lhael was destroyed by the Cardassians, killing khre'Riov Willaev tr'Aieme. Since then, succeeding Lhael's have been rebuilt as Ael'sienae's and a Valdore class cruiser, though destroyed in heavy combat against Federation and Gorn forces. Over the last year, the chR Lhael was lost twice in battle with pirates and the Federation. The current class of the Lhael is a Defiant class heavy destroyer assigned to the chR Rakh'orhe's Wing, previously named USS Normandy before its capture.
