Casy Eratl is a life-long member of Starfleet. He has held a variety of positions within Starfleet Command including Commanding Officer of several starships. He is presently an Inspector with the Starfleet Judge Advocate General Corps, holding the rank of Commander.
OOCly, I have played this character since ATS's inception as Future Realms. I was recruited to FR by Martinez in late 1994. Originally he was just 'Eratl', but I decided to add his first name when I returned to playing him in April 2008. A lot of oldbies call me E, because that was my @alias for many years, but it is not now. I am not Siegfried/Fyodor and he is not me.

Description
This is an approximately six foot five humanoid. For human standards, he looks somewhat aged - perhaps his early-to-mid fifties? A small short shock of white hair surrounds his head, while coal-black eyes stare out at the world surrounded by slight wrinkles and crinkles of age. To those that are well versed in the galaxy's taxonomy, this would suggest that he is more than likely of the Betazoid race. For his age he seems in good shape and walks without a limp or any other real visible sign of his age.
He has a small scar on his right hand, and wears an antique manual timepiece on his left wrist. On his left hand, a silver wedding band gleams brightly.

Personal Life
Casy married Vice President of the UFP and retired Admiral Elizabeth Haynsworth on December 24th, 2404 in a public ceremony at Ariana Park in Paris. Shortly thereafter, Vice President Eratl was elected to the office of President of the UFP.
Casy has one daughter, Jaessa Eratl, aged 20 as of 2405, from a previous marriage.

- Wing Commander/Commanding Officer, Starfleet Aerospace Operations (SFAO) aboard the USS Jack Ryan

- Commanding Officer, [[USS Valley Fprge] (Excelsior-class)
He was given the callsign Shadow when he entered SFAO due to his intelligence background.
Current Starfleet History
Casy returned to Starfleet active duty in late September, 2404 (4/17/08). He was given the rank of Commander and designated a Tactics Specialist with Starfleet Aerospace Operations (SFAO), an organization that he has long been associated with. On October 22nd, 2404 (5/13/08) he assumed the lead of SFAO as Commodore Luke Zitto had moved up to fill the DCS: Operations slot. Under his command SFAO was retooled from Starfleet's elite fighter force into an organization totally dedicated to training and flight certification.
On December 14th, 2404 (7/6/08) he was assigned to take command of the newly-refitted Excelsior-class USS Valley Forge.
Casy was diagnosed in May 2405, a condition that necessitated his brief retirement from Starfleet altogether and permanent retirement from front-line command duties. After spending the summer of 2405 meeting with medical personnel, undergoing various procedures and treatments, and generally taking life easy with a light schedule of mostly political appearances with Elizabeth, he returned to Starfleet duty in August 2405, albeit in a desk role.
