Overview

The BSV Vigilance is a Bajoran Destroyer based on the Deimos class. The Vigilance has a displacement of 400,000mt and is generally triangular in overall shape with inboard warp engines. Notable features include a forward firing high-powered phaser cannon and it's bird of prey like design with swooping areodynamic wings allowing the ship to enter and leave atmospheres with ease. This is the most common Bajoran Destroyer configuration and makes up the bulk of the capital ships in the BDF Fleet.

Weapon Systems

The Vigilance boasts Six Phaser cannons and Five Quantum torpedo tubes. The Majority of the vessel's weapon loadout is concentrated to the fore of the vessel for powerful frontal assaults. Four forward firing Quantum torpedo tubes and One Aft increase the long-range capabilities of the BSV Vigilance.

Auxilliary Cargo and Support Vessels

The BSV Vigilance has a dual purpose 200,000mt Cargo Hold/Shuttlebay capable of carrying four Diana class fighters or similar sized vessels. This allows the Vigilance to project even more force in hostile situations, or provide extended range relief supplies during peacetime.

BSV Vigilance undergoes major retrofit and upgrades preparing for the first commissioned flight since the end occupation.

The Vigilance's CO Esid Krim undergoes simulation training on the vigilance's new Weapon Systems and recieves high marks from the instructors. The rest of the crew undergoes training as well

The BSV Vigilance escorts the BMF Baltrim from Vulcan space to Sherman's Planet after it is attacked by the Eklisr vessel and pilot. CO Krim enlisted the help of Pedult Aidoanne. A risky venture based on her history, but one that paid off, she was a capable damage control manager. The ship returned to DS9 after the incident.
