Amren Gren is the diplomatic assistant to Ambassador Enzeru Yamamoto of the Pryan Coalition.

This is my first character at ATS and it's only been a few short months but I'm really loving the game.

History

Amren grew up in a town near Lake Cataria. He is the oldest of three children, having a younger brother (the middle child) and a younger sister (the youngest). His brother was born five years after he was, his sister being born only a year and a half after that. He had a relatively happy childhood. He was mostly introverted, prefering to spend time by himself rather than with others since he sometimes was bullied for being shorter than his peers. That stopped when he hit his growth spurt but he still remained introverted.

He received top grades in school from the very start, finding it to be rather suiting to his personality. He didn't have many friends in school but that didn't bother him at all. He never dated before he went to the Royal University of Betazed in the capital and didn't date much while he was there. He found out early on that he wasn't interested in girls like most others were and didn't share that fact with anyone while not hiding it at the same time, he just didn't discuss it as it never seemed to come up in a conversation.

While at the Royal University he studied Political Science, Philosophy, and minored in Economics. He graduated with top grades but was unable to secure a job with the UTF diplomatic services due to inexperience. His only choice was to go out and get experience so he headed to Pryan in search of someone to learn diplomacy, and perhaps some trading, from while he was at it.

He was able to find Ambassador Yamamoto and was hired as his diplomatic assistant so he could gain some practical experience in diplomacy and negotiations.

Currently

Amren recently got himself a room on Deep Space Nine. He is also trying to help Hadron Feyn come out of his delusion about being the Grand Nagus.

In-Game Description

Starting from the top it becomes apparently that he is just shy of standing a full five feet ten inches. His short, dark hair is well groomed, being just a little longer than a military cut but still in the range of manageable. His iris and pupils are a solid dark color and though his smiles aren't usually very long lasting, he does show them often. His face is cleanly shaved except for a well kept goatee meant to make him look slightly older than he actually is. He wears a long sleeve, button down dress shirt, navy blue and made of silk, the top button left undone most of the time but it's always tucked into his pants. On his legs are a pair of loose, casual khaki pants for comfort and dress at the same time, tailored to fit perfectly. His feet are covered in a pair of nice tan dress shoes that show very little wear on the soles.

OOC Note

Amren is a Betazoid and has permission from the Admin to use his race’s gifts, provided that all involved agree to it being used, and that it’s being done in the same proximity, meaning not across the entire galaxy. I will be using Betazoid abilities from the various TV shows as a basis for how it works. He must have OOC permission from those involved to use it and will ask for OOC permission before attempting to read thoughts or use telepathy, as well as most empathic abilities. However, if it’s painfully obvious what your character is feeling, it shouldn’t take OOC permission for him to know that, such as your character fidgeting constantly, brandishing a weapon, etc, the obvious emotions.
