Ael'sienae

Ael'sienae-class destroyer.
The Galae had issued a development order for two new classes of destroyers: one to be of a standard destroyer-type design, the second to be a dedicated cannon platform. A design was submitted for the former, which was approved and became the Ael'sienae class. With a view to saving development costs and design time, once the Ael'sienae prototype was accepted by the Galae and construction was ordered, the prototype was converted into the prototype of the Vas'deletham-class destroyer gunboat.
Armed with six disruptor banks and four plasma torpedo tubes, and further equipped with equipment useful for scientific exploration, the Ael'sienae is a well-rounded vessel found in common use. In combat, it can often be found as the lead ship in wolfpacks of Vas'deletham-class destroyer gunboats.
