Ian Sturmvogel has arrived.
Penta has arrived.
Tove has arrived.
K'laag has arrived.
Bishop has arrived.
Tove slips into the periphery of the main area, remaining mostly covered by foliage off the main path. She quietly watches the goings-on, her dark skin blending in rather well with her surroundings.
The ]T[ Turbolift door closes.
Balar Adell has arrived.
The ]T[ Turbolift door opens.
Bishop says, "'at you, Chris?" to nobody in particular.
Peyna E. Anders arrives from the ]T[ Turbolift door.
Peyna E. Anders has arrived.
Kovaq arrives from the ]T[ Turbolift door.
Kovaq has arrived.
Peyna E. Anders says, "Ensign Aleko, please be advised I am storing some weapons for a Mr. Kovaq in the Hoplite's armory as well." to nobody in particular.
Ian Sturmvogel is standing near a very largish tree, looking upwards at is as several people walk in. He turns around and smiles as people begin to enter from the turbolift. He spots and nods to a few familiar faces. "Thank you everyone, thank you very much for coming. The service will begin in 5 minutes, to allow any late comers to yet arrive."
Kovaq enters the gardens and glances about, taking note of just how massive the structure is from the inside. He walks pass a few of the various trees, inhaling their fragence before contining his stride about the gardens.
Ian Sturmvogel looks down at his padd, finally, unclipping it and reading it. He reads it momentarily, and in shock, says, "Son of a...." The last word is said under his breath... but Ian begins look around at his surroundings, at the the people.
Balar Adell sits upon a nearby bench, folding her hands in her lap.
Ian Sturmvogel notices one woman sitting at a nearby bench... he walks over to her and nods. "My goodness, Doctor Balar... very good to see you again.... I never know when I am going to see you again."
Aidoann is totally not here. At least, not anywhwere she can be seen unless someone actually /looks/.
Bishop notices a few faces, other than the ones from Starfleet, that he knows. Nonetheless, he tries to make himself -appear- cordial and gives nods and occassional smiles. He can be seen tugging at the collar of his uniform, quite regularly.
Balar Adell smiles, looking up at Ian. "Hello, Mister Sturmvogel," she says. "I've been teaching. On earth. It's 'fall break', as they call it. I'm glad to see you, although the circumstances are not that happy."
S'al arrives from the /N\ North Path exit.
S'al has arrived.
Ian Sturmvogel smiles tersely and nods. "Gleen would be happy to see so many people come here... he's almost been ubiquitous is our lives... any party, any situation... I've seen him there. It's only fitting that we should be here for him today."
Peyna E. Anders is standing quietly with his hands clasped behind his back near a tree. He nods at Bishop as he notices him.
Bishop grins and lifts his head up to ackowledge Anders.
Balar Adell's smile becomes a bit apologetic. "I never met him," she admits.
The ]T[ Turbolift door closes.
The ]T[ Turbolift door opens.
Aleko arrives from the ]T[ Turbolift door.
Aleko has arrived.
K'laag says, "I come to bury Gleen, not to praise him."
Kovaq says, "I met the man once; he shared a delicious sandwich with me. He treasured that sandwich, kept it in his pocket for a week. A very generous man, to share a treasured prize with a complete stranger."
K'laag says, "He died in battle, eyes fixed on the foe. Who could ask more?"
Kovaq says, "An honorable death, it was a fitting end to any warrior."
Ian Sturmvogel makes a face as if saying, "ah," and then nods. "He was a good man, Dr. Balar. A good man." He bites his lip for a moment... and then acknowledges someone walking in with with a large cart... it seems to be keeping something hot within. "Aha, Dr. Balar, if you will excuse me, refreshments have come." Ian begins walking over to the man with the cart. Interestingly though... Ian's cheek below his good eye begins to twitch slightly.
Bishop smiles a bit and offers, "I met 'im in tha mess 'all. 'ee ate some meat. 'en 'ee started gripin about 'is "dumb foot." Apparently 'ee was sittin tha wrong wah."
K'laag says, "He was handy in a fight. He was on the ground at Gamora III."
The ]T[ Turbolift door closes.
After speaking to the man with the cart, Ian turns to the assembled people. "Ladies and gentleman," Ian calls out, "I would like to thank you for coming here today to help us celebrate the life of Gleen the Nausicaan. First... I would welcome people to enjoy some refreshment. Gleen's favorite food was a smalle Terran pastry known as a 'muffin.' For you tonight we have several different varieties... including blueberry, poppyseed, and choclate chip. I would invite everyone to enjoy a tasty muffin, with which to remember our friend Gleen."
K'laag takes a chocolate chip muffin.
Peyna E. Anders smiles and waits patiently for the nice refreshment man to come around. He takes a chocolate chip muffin at that time, as well.
The ]T[ Turbolift door opens.
Aleko Takes a blueberry muffin, smiling at the thought of Gleen and all the good times they had together.
nIH'waS arrives from the ]T[ Turbolift door.
nIH'waS has arrived.
cha'paH arrives from the ]T[ Turbolift door.
cha'paH has arrived.
Balar Adell stands and approaches the cart, choosing a poppyseed muffin.
Kovaq dark eyes glance in the towards the entrance, noting the newest arrivals. He nods his head, offering a greeting to the two Klingon warriors.
Penta is quiet, just observing. If he has thoughts on Gleen, he isn't sharing them.
Bishop eyes the cart intently, before saying, "Ooh, blueberrah." And snatches a muffin off the cart.
cha'paH strolls casually into the room, nIH'waS along with her. She looks around, noticed Kovaq's acknowledgement. Tapping nIH'waS on the arm, she motions with her head towards Kovaq. Turning, cha'paH begins to walk over towards the HoD.
Ian Sturmvogel walks back to the largish tree in the center of the bontanic gardens after getting himself a cranberry-orange muffin. "To those assembled... I bid you welcome. Today, we come here to celebrate Gleen's life." He clears his throat... "Gleen, was a quiet man, a man of few words. But, in the intances I had met with him, spoken with him, fought with him, he was a man of incredible inner strength and amazing depths of emotion and wisdom."
Penta does, however, grab a chocolate chip muffin. Less for Gleen, more because, hey, it's free food.
nIH'waS heads for the muffins.
Kovaq welcomes cha'paH with a grin, "An odd way to celebrate the life of a fallen warrior, but respectful none the less. An excuse to leave the base for a few hours, if nothing else."
Balar Adell picks the poppyseeds out of the muffin, eating them.
K'laag takes a bite of his muffin, looking around at others.
Bishop taps Balar on the shoulder, "Careful lass, don't want to drop dartah with 'ose 'ings," with a smile.
Peyna E. Anders slowly peels the wrapper off his muffin. He sniffs it first, then shrugs, slowly beginning to nomnom onit.
Ian Sturmvogel continues, "Few people know this, but the Hara Cats had already been in operation for several weeks, and Gleen was one of us, assuring that our base was well managed and well stocked. The muffins there proved to be an incredible source of comfort those first few days. And... the first words he spoke to me were... 'This your new home.' He was not very strong in the English language, but what his words did not say, his eyes conveyed so much more. Indeed... it become my home so fast, because of what Gleen had prepared for us."
cha'paH nods slightly, she looks about then says "To each have their own ways of celebrating. We have ours, they have theirs. Though" She looks at the others, then back to Kovaa "A break indeed"
S'al says very little and nods softly, "Prince Gleen, of the Sha'hown clan. You will be missed. A Profitable Journey into the Devine treasury be paved with both latinum and muffins. In your case."
S'al nods and turns and heads to the rear to watch the rest of the folks.
Balar Adell looks at Bishop, narrowing her eyes confusedly. "Say again?" she asks, eyes moving up and down the man.
cha'paH says, "Gonna actually miss seeing him from time to time with that hammer of his."
Ian Sturmvogel raises an eyebrow... "I had no idea he was a Prince of Nausicaa... how the more fitting that a man of royalty should come to us, humble himself so as to come down to our level, to fight with a sword in his fist, against the enemies of freedom."
cha'paH arches a brow "Sword, looked like a damn hammer to me"
Ian Sturmvogel coughs. "I mean hammer. Mighty Foe-Hammer."
K'laag starts to say something then shuts his mouth, making a brief noise of exhalation.
Bishop smiles again at Balar. "Tha poppahs. Too manah leave opiates in ya blood. Least 'at's what I been told." As he lifts his muffin to take a bite. "Blueberrah, wah to go."
Ian Sturmvogel continues... "As for his final battle... we know very little. He took off to the stars, to fight the good fight against those who would pray upon the fallen, against those who cannot defend themselves... he took up his sword, I mean hammer, against those enemies, and he defeated those he could, until at last the gods above had called him home once more. This was his legacy... to fight for that which was right and good, against immeasurable odds... indeed, to carry the load for us all."
cha'paH says, "nIH'waS, perhaps you can speak with the cha'DIch later on another matter."
cha'paH whispers to nIH'waS.
Ian Sturmvogel pauses.... "If there is anything that anyone wishes to speak about our friend Gleen... Prince Gleen of the Sha'hown clan... I invite those individuals to come and speak now of him."
nIH'waS shrugs and stuff a blueberry muffin into his mouth.
Ian Sturmvogel takes a few steps back from where he was standing.
Balar Adell looks at her muffin, then Bishop. She smiles, looking at his uniform again. She whispers now, because of the goings-on. "Thank you, for warning me about opiates. But, hm, I'm Qvarni." Her whisper becomes softer, "They're practically in our water supply."
cha'paH grabs one of the muffins from the tray. Lifting it to her nose, she sniffs at it for a brief moment. "Mmmsss" looking at it, she then pops it into her mouth.
Ian Sturmvogel looks around momentarily at the assembled crowd... seeing if anyone wishes to speak.
K'laag raises his half-eaten muffin.
K'laag says, "Muffin. Muffin good."
K'laag eats his muffin.
Bishop lets out a hearty laugh. "HA! Then munch on lass. Far be at from meh to stop ya 'en."
Ian Sturmvogel nods. "Indeed. How many times have we seen Gleen to say the same thing. Indeed... Muffin /is/ good."
cha'paH looks to K'laag "not bad.. I think the one I had was .. umm.. apple"
cha'paH says, "with some funny sweet spices."
Ian Sturmvogel looks around. "Is there anything else anyone wishes to say?"
Bishop says, "Oi, to 'is 'dumb foot!'"
There is a quiet rustling of the foliage and Aidoann steps forth from where she was, heading without a word towards the muffins. Her cloak is pushed back, currently as black as the rest of her outfit, looking more like a cape than a cloak.
Bishop noshes on his muffin.
Kovaq glances curiously to cha'paH and then to niH'waS, merely shrugging, "After this is done with, if there are no enemeis to kill, I could use a ride back to Qi'tomer."
K'laag stomps his foot loudly in response to Bishop.
cha'paH says, "By all means. We've left the ship on Ank, came over by Transport."
Ian Sturmvogel looks over as out of the bushes, someone comes forward. "Ah." Ian rolls his remaining eye, and steps away from the central tree once more.
cha'paH glances at nIH'waS briefly as she grabs another muffin, taking a bite from it.
Balar Adell continues eating her muffin.
cha'paH whispers to nIH'waS.
Bishop finished with his muffin, he has the look of thirst. "Oi, anah beer 'round 'ere?"
cha'paH says, "If you'll excuse me a moment, I want to go speak with the Nagus."
Aidoann carefully selects a muffin, chocolate chip, and holds it in one hand as if weighing it. "How many more will fall to your ridiculous idealism, Ian?" she says, looking up and at Ian himself, "How many more will you kill, in persuit of falsehoods and untruths?" Her free hand makes a sweeping gesture, "You may have them all fooled with this memorial service. You cannot fool me. You have never cared for anything or anyone but yourself, Ian. Everything you do and touch is a lie." After she's finished speaking, she drops the muffin to the ground and grinds it beneath her bare heel. Perhaps not as dignified as grinding it beneath a boot heel, but the result is the same: squished muffin.
K'laag says, "That must be the ex-wife."
Bishop says, "Aye."
K'laag says, "Man oathes a Romulan, he's got to expect these things."
Peyna E. Anders looks at you.
Bishop says, "Oi, did ya say oath, or loathe?"
K'laag says, "You know, marry. We say take the oath."
Bishop says, "Ah, same differance 'an."
K'laag says, "Loathing can come later."
Ian Sturmvogel closes his single eye, and shakes his head. He looks up at the assembled masses... "Let us remember Gleen for what he was... a patriot to the cause of freedom and justice. And let us furtehr remember him by partaking of the Missing Man Formation... this formation is an assemblage of starships, flying in formation, while one pulls up perpendicullarly from the rest, upwards into the heavens. This formation is used to honor a passed brother, a passed friend, and I can think of no better way to commemorate our friend."
Balar Adell looks toward the commotion.
"A sheep. A follower of lies, Ian. Tell the truth for once. For once in your life." Aidoann counters, her voice even, "Or does the truth frighten you so?"
cha'paH turns, making her way across the room. Her duster like skirt, touches the floor as she approaches S'al. Upon hearing the words from Aidoann, she simply shakes her head, then looks at S'al. "If you have time, I'd like to speak with you." She glances back at the two, Aidoann and Ian, then to S'al. "It's unfortunate that those two are wishing to use this time to air their own matters out, after all, this was to be for Gleen, not for petty bickering."
Ian Sturmvogel continues speaking over Aidoann. "For those who wish to join me... please take to your starships and meet me in orbit around Celestine Gate. We shall then do a formation flight past Celestine, and then return to land when we are finished. More muffins will be served later, of course."
S'al nods, "I have my ship here if you need me post...thing." S'al looks over those gathered. "I said my peice and provided the required for his estate. The profits are being distributed as per his rather small last will and testimate" S'al remembers, "Sell stuff, make money, buy things" S'al smirks, "If i remember it correctly"
S'al leaves through the ]T[ Turbolift door.
S'al has left.
The ]T[ Turbolift door closes.
"I do not believe that Ian is the one what wished to use this time for bickering," Tove offers, stepping out of the treeline, making her way towards the muffin cart, her familiar-looking green-dress swishing as she walks. "Ian seems to be doing the honorable thing, the bitter, mentally-handicapped one seems to be trying to throw a public fit here," she remarks casually.
K'laag says, "I thought we were going to watch the formation. Guess we have to watch it in space."
cha'paH nods following S'al
Bishop offers his hand to Balar. "Seein as 'ow the proceedings are breakin down, name is Bishop, Bishop Essa. Pleased ta meet ya."
Penta hears cha'paH's comment on 'petty bickering' and glances about. Apparently, he thinks better of saying something.
Ian Sturmvogel finally knows why his eye is twitching. He walks over to the muffin cart, whispers softly.
Ian Sturmvogel whispers to Tove.
Aidoann smiles, but it's a sad smile, at Tove. "Ah. He has you fooled, too. He never has been one for the truth. Sad that a Rihan would favor the truth more highly than a human, do you not think so." Shaking her head slightly, she adds, "You will learn." With that, she turns and sweeps back into the foliage from whence she came.
K'laag says, "What truth is she selling?"
Tove looks at her blue skin. "Human?" she remarks quietly. She chuckles. "Eyesight is going on that one, too, apparently."
Balar Adell looks away from the commotion to Bishop. "Balar Adell. Nice to meet you also," she cants her head to the side. "I've never heard your accent before, were you raised off of Bajor?"
cha'paH stops on her way out to speak with her other warriors "I am going to speak with S'al for K'val. He wishes to become a member of the FTG. I shall only be a moment, then I'll be heading back to base where the ship is." She looks back to the crowd for a moment, then back at nIH'waS and the other warriors "I came here for Gleen. Now I've done that, not to listen to this .. this"
cha'paH leaves through the /S\ South Path exit.
cha'paH has left.
cha'paH arrives from the /S\ South Path exit.
cha'paH has arrived.
cha'paH presses the ]T[ Turbolift call button.
The ]T[ Turbolift door opens.
Ian Sturmvogel shakes hsi head and turns, heding for the turbolift... but not before noticing something. He turns to Tove:
cha'paH leaves through the ]T[ Turbolift door.
cha'paH has left.
Ian Sturmvogel whispers to Tove.
The ]T[ Turbolift door closes.
Tove remarks to Ian, post-whisper, "Gleen was a warrior of the highest calibre, and a gentle soul when not faced with defending those who cannot defend themselves." A soft sigh, "He will be honored, despite the attempt at smearing his memorial. He will be remembered for a long time, not forgotten."
Tove whispers to Ian Sturmvogel.
Bishop nods with a grin, "Aye. Ahrlan... oh, sarrah. Ire-land. Been told I can be somewhat confusin." He twirls his earring for a second. "Actuallah, me name is Kainon, but bein barn on Terra, me dah thought the name change would beh best."
Ian Sturmvogel shakes his head, laughing, before pressing the turbolift button.
Penta moves to K'laag and finally speaks. "Someone will have to explain to me what it is about ex-wives and ex-girlfriends...Why the drama never ends," he muses.
Ian Sturmvogeleye twitches slightly.
Tove moves to follow Ian.
Ian Sturmvogel presses the ]T[ Turbolift call button.

The ]T[ Turbolift door closes.
Balar Adell says, "Oh, Ireland, yes, of course. I've been working on earth for the past few months, I'm teaching on the American continent, the northeast. A city called Baltimore. Do you know it?"
K'laag says, "Back to the ship?"
K'laag presses the ]T[ Turbolift call button.
The ]T[ Turbolift door opens.
Penta shrugs. "Why not?"
K'laag says, "See the formation."
K'laag says, "Unless Bishop will be a while."
<DQ|FHC Siberian|7346 -5453 45> Ian Sturmvogel says, "Undocking from Celestine in about one minute."
After Ian and that gathering have left, Aidoann reemerges from the foliage once again. She clears her throat once before speaking, "I should... like to apologise to you all. I could explain why I did what I did. But, no doubt, I would not be believed. Therefore, I will simply apologize for interrupting the memorial."
Bishop nods while looking for the beer cart. "Oi, 'ere it is." He takes the rather pale-ish glass and takes a drink. "Bah. Nevah trust a beer ya can see through." Giving more attention to Balar, "Aye, been 'ere once. Decent enough place. Kinda fond of Maine meself."

Balar Adell says, "I went to Maine, yes, it's very green. I enjoyed the shore," she says, still smiling. Her eyes move toward Aidoann again as she apologies, nodding in response to the woman.
