2404 is the fourth year of the 25th century by the reckoning of the Terrans.

    2404 Began in Mid-July 2007 and will end in mid-July 2008.
    January 2404 began in mid-July 2007.  All months, dates, etc. follow IC dating like that.

January

Cardassian Union

• Martial Law is declared in the Cardassian Union as the Madrasad lead by Idrig Jagul Kimter takes over.

United Federation of Planets

• The Zitto/Blondel Campaign wins in UFP Presidential Elections by a landslide margin of 76.9 to 23.1 percent of the popular vote. President Zitto is sworn in to office on Stardate 81015.21.

February

Unified Qvarne Sector

• Freebird City, a massive Space Colony-class space station, opens in orbit of Qvarne IV. Freebird Enterprises touts the project as the dawning of a new era in colonial self-sufficiency and economic growth throughout the Home Quadrants.

March

General

The Borg are spotted in Federation space scouting base locations and planets. Soon more Borg sightings through the Alpha and Beta quadrants appear. Two transwarp conduits are detected between Federation and Pryan space.

July

Breen Hegemony

• Breen forces move into the Demilitarized Zone in dispute of Cardassian territorial claims.

Cardassian Union

• Cardassian Union annexes the Demilitarized Zone.
• Vornan Jikall resumes control of the Union.

Unified Qvarne Sector

• Chairlady Dr. Vena Delukanasi dies on Qvarne IV. Unified Qvarne Sector thrown into despair.
• Prosper Group President Jonothan Starsmore ascends to Chairman of the Board of Freebird Enterprises.
• Executive Board of Freebird Enterprises forced to evacuate from the Qvarne Sector by rioting populace.

August

• Starfleet engages in border conflicts and brushfire skirmishes in and near the Demilitarized Zone against the Cardassian Union and the Romulan Galae.

September

• The Unified Qvarne Sector falls to a massive Kzinti invasion fleet on 18 September. On contact with the Sector is lost.

• A combined Gorn/Kzinti task force attacks the Nelvana System during the public wedding reception of the Galae'enriov.

Galactic Ferengi Alliance

• 24 September: Dek Trig, Daon of Llystad and Tolagor, is assassinated by Federation forces.
